Discover how fun learning can be with games and surprises!
A coordinate graph is a map that uses numbers to show where things are! It’s like treasure hunting—each spot has its own special address made of two numbers, just like your house has an address too!
First comes the x-number, then comes the y-number. Together they make a pair called (x, y). These numbers tell us exactly where to go on the graph.
Imagine you're playing hopscotch:
We want to find the point (3, 2).
This is how we read points on a coordinate graph. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!
1. Use fun props like toy cars or dolls to move around a homemade graph drawn on paper.
2. Sing along while moving: “Right for x, up for y, let’s plot this point so high!”
3. Celebrate small wins—every correct answer deserves a high-five or dance break!
