How Does Division Work? 🤔

First comes the total, then come the groups... Divide them up so each group has its loot!

1. Start with a number (this is called the dividend).
2. Decide how many equal groups you want (this is the divisor).
3. Split the total evenly into those groups.
4. The answer is how many are in each group (this is the quotient).

Let’s Try an Example! 🧮

Problem: If we have 10 candies and we divide them into 2 equal groups, how many candies will be in each group?

Solution: We take our 10 candies and split them into 2 groups. Each group gets 5 candies because 10 ÷ 2 = 5. Yay, math magic!
