How to Divide by 7:

First comes the number, then comes the split… Splitting is fun when you do it bit by bit!

1. Start with the number you want to divide (this is called the dividend).
2. Think of how many groups of 7 fit inside that number.
3. Count those groups—that’s your answer (quotient)!
4. If there’s anything left over, that’s called the remainder.

Let’s Try an Example:

Imagine we have 21 candies. We want to share them equally among 7 friends.

Step 1: Take the total candies: 21.
Step 2: Ask yourself, “How many times does 7 fit into 21?” Count: 7, 14, 21… That’s 3 times!
Step 3: So, each friend gets 3 candies. No leftovers this time!

Answer: 21 ÷ 7 = 3.
