First comes counting, then comes adding, and don’t forget subtracting! Counting is like climbing stairs—step by step to the top! Adding means putting things together. Taking away means subtracting. Subtraction means less! Less! LESS!

Let’s Try an Example:

Imagine you have 5 apples 🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎. If your friend gives you 3 more apples, how many do you have now? That’s right! You add them up: 5 + 3 = 8. Now you have 8 apples! 🎉

But wait—if you eat 2 apples, how many are left? Take away 2 from 8, and voilà! You’re left with 6 apples. Yum yum!
