Math Magic Time!

Step-by-Step Fun with Numbers:

First comes 1, then comes 2, next is 3—oh what fun it is to see!

When we count, we name each number as we go. Just like hopping on stones across a stream, we don’t skip or miss a single one!

If you have toys, candies, or even your fingers, you can count them all. One at a time, nice and slow, until you reach the end of the row.

Let’s Try Together:

Say you have 5 apples 🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎. Start counting:

1. Point to the first apple and say “1” out loud.
2. Move to the second apple and shout “2!”
3. Keep going till you get to “5.”

Wow! You just counted 5 whole apples. That means there are FIVE yummy treats waiting for you!

Tips for Superhero Parents:

• Make it playful! Use toys, snacks, or anything fun around the house to practice counting.
• Repeat often. Repetition helps kids remember. Sing songs like “One, two, buckle my shoe…”
• Encourage finger counting—it’s okay! This builds confidence before moving to bigger numbers.
• Cheer them on. Say things like “You’re doing amazing!” or “Look how far you’ve come!”
