Discover how fun learning can be with games and surprises!
Place value is the special spot each digit has in a number. Think of it like seats at a birthday party—every guest (digit) sits in their own chair to make the table look perfect!
First comes ones, then comes tens…
Tens turn into hundreds, and the fun never ends!
Here’s how we do it:
Say we have 234. What does this mean?
- The 4 lives in the ones place.
- The 3 lives in the tens place, which means 3
groups of 10—or 30.
- The 2 lives in the hundreds place, which
means 2 groups of 100—or 200.
So, 234 = 200 + 30 + 4. Yay, math puzzle solved!
