What We’re Learning Today:

First comes addition, then comes subtraction. Addition means putting things together—like collecting shiny marbles in a jar! Subtraction means taking things away—like sharing your cookies with friends.

Addition grows bigger, bigger, BIGGER! Subtraction gets smaller, smaller, SMALLER!

Let’s Practice:

Say you have 5 toy cars and your friend gives you 3 more. How many do you have now?

We count: 5 + 3 = 8! That’s right—you just added to make your collection grow!

Now, if you give 2 cars back to your friend, how many are left? Count again: 8 - 2 = 6. You subtracted to share the fun!

Tips for Superhero Parents:

• Use real-life objects like toys or snacks to show addition and subtraction.
• Make it a game! Sing songs like “One plus one equals TWO, two plus two equals FOUR!”
• Encourage curiosity—ask questions like, “What happens if we add one more?”
