How Does a Calendar Work?

First comes Sunday, then Monday too,
Tuesday follows, just like a clue!
Wednesday waves, Thursday chimes,
Friday dances, Saturday rhymes!

Each week has 7 days,
And they all fit into neat little arrays.
Four weeks or so make one whole month,
Like building blocks we can count at once!

Let’s Look at an Example:

Imagine today is Wednesday, October 5th.
If you look on the calendar, you’ll see:
- The day before was Tuesday, October 4th.
- The day after will be Thursday, October 6th.

We use calendars to plan fun things, like playdates, birthdays, or holidays. Can you find your birthday on the calendar? 🎉

• Make it personal: Help your child mark special dates, like their birthday or family events.
• Play games: Ask questions like “What day comes after Friday?” or “How many Tuesdays are in this month?”
