Number lines make fractions visual and fun!
When fractions have the same denominator (the bottom number), we can add and subtract them easily by
moving along a number line. Each jump represents one part of the whole, making it simple to see how
fractions combine or separate.
How to Add & Subtract Fractions with Like Denominators
1️⃣ Draw a number line divided into equal parts based on the denominator
2️⃣ Start at the first fraction on the number line
3️⃣ Jump forward (for addition) or backward (for subtraction) the number of parts in the second fraction
