What Are Addition Facts?
Addition is like putting things together to make a bigger group!
When we add numbers, we're combining them to find out how many we have in total. Today we'll practice adding numbers where the total (sum) is 18 or less. These are important math facts to know by heart!
How to Solve Addition Problems
1️⃣ Count the first number (use your fingers if needed!)
2️⃣ Add the second number by counting up
3️⃣ Say the total sum out loud to remember it

Parent Tips 🌟
- Make it real: Use everyday objects like toys or snacks to practice addition. "If you have 4 grapes and I give you 5 more, how many do you have?"
- Flashcard fun: Create colorful flashcards with addition facts and turn practice into a quick game. Celebrate when they get faster!
- Sing it out: Make up simple songs or chants for addition facts ("7 and 9 make 16, let's all say it and feel so keen!").
