Understanding Tens
Numbers are made up of tens and ones!
When we add or subtract tens, we're counting by groups of ten. It's like counting stacks of blocks or bundles of sticks. Adding ten makes numbers bigger, and subtracting ten makes them smaller - but only the tens place changes!
How to Add and Subtract Tens
1️⃣ Look at the tens digit (the first number)
2️⃣ Add or subtract from just the tens digit
3️⃣ Keep the ones digit the same
