Understanding Word Problems
Word problems tell little stories with numbers!
They help us use math in everyday life. When we read a word problem, we need to figure out if we should add (put together) or subtract (take away) to find the answer.
How to Solve Word Problems
1️⃣ Read carefully - What is the problem about?
2️⃣ Find the numbers - What numbers do we need to use?
3️⃣ Decide - Should we add or subtract?
4️⃣ Solve - Do the math and find the answer!
