What Does "Ten More or Less" Mean?
Numbers love to jump by tens!
When we find ten more than a number, we're adding 10. When we find ten less, we're subtracting 10. It's like taking big jumps on a number line - up for more, down for less!
How to Find Ten More or Less
1️⃣ Look at your number (like 25)
2️⃣ Find the tens place (the 2 in 25 means 20)
3️⃣ Add or subtract 10 (20 + 10 = 30 or 20 - 10 = 10)
4️⃣ Keep the ones digit the same (25 → 35 or 15)

Parent Tips 🌟
- Use physical objects: Line up 10 blocks or coins, then add or remove the whole group to show ten more/less visually.
- Play "Ten More/Less" games: While driving, call out a number and have your child say what's ten more or less than it.
- Highlight patterns: Show how the tens digit changes while the ones digit stays the same (e.g., 24, 34, 44).
