Understanding Both Clock Types
Time can be shown in two different ways!
Analog clocks have moving hands that point to numbers, while digital clocks show numbers directly. Let's
learn how to match them together!
How to Read Clocks
1️⃣ Look at the hour hand first (the short one)
2️⃣ Then look at the minute hand (the long one)
3️⃣ Match the numbers to the digital display
Let's Practice Together!
Example 1: Match the Clocks

Example 2: Find the Match

Parent Tips 🌟
- Clock Hunt: Point out clocks wherever you go - in your home, at stores, or on devices. Ask your child to read both analog and digital versions.
- Make a Paper Clock: Create a simple clock with movable hands using paper plates. Practice setting different times together.
- Daily Time Checks: During routine activities (meals, bedtime), ask your child to check both types of clocks and tell you what time it is.
