What is Division?
Division is about sharing things equally!
When we divide, we're taking a big group of items and splitting them into smaller, equal groups. It's like sharing cookies with friends or putting toys away in boxes.
How to Divide
1️⃣ Count all the items you have
2️⃣ Decide how many groups you want
3️⃣ Share the items equally into each group
Let's Practice Together!
Example 1: Sharing Cookies
You have 12 cookies and want to share them with 3 friends. How many cookies does each friend get?
12 cookies total
Shared among 3 friends
Each friend gets 4 cookies! 12 ÷ 3 = 4
Example 2: Flower Pots
There are 15 flowers to be planted equally in 5 pots. How many flowers go in each pot?
Each pot gets 3 flowers! 15 ÷ 5 = 3
