Measuring Everything Around Us
Measurement helps us understand how big, small, heavy, or light things
are!
We use special tools like rulers, scales, and measuring cups to find out sizes and amounts. Today we'll
review length, weight, and volume - the three superpowers of measurement!
Measurement Tools
1️⃣ Rulers measure length (how long something is)
2️⃣ Scales measure weight (how heavy something is)
3️⃣ Measuring cups measure volume (how much space something takes up)
Let's Practice Together!

Parent Tips 🌟
- Kitchen measurements: Let your child help measure ingredients when cooking - great for practicing volume measurements!
- Measurement scavenger hunt: Hide objects around the house with clues like "Find something about 15cm long" or "Find something lighter than an apple".
- Compare and estimate: Before measuring, ask "Do you think this is longer/shorter/heavier/lighter than...?" to develop estimation skills.
