What Are Ordinal Numbers?
Ordinal numbers tell us the position or order of things.
Just like we use counting numbers (1, 2, 3...) to say how many, we use ordinal numbers (1st, 2nd,
3rd...) to say what order things come in. They're perfect for talking about races, lines, or anything
where order matters!

Parent Tips 🌟
- Use everyday situations: Point out ordinal numbers in daily life like "You're first in line" or "This is our third stop today."
- Make it a game: Have races with toys and announce the positions using ordinal numbers.
- Visual aids help: Create a number line with both cardinal (1,2,3) and ordinal (1st,2nd,3rd) numbers to show the connection.
