Subtraction is about taking away!
A subtraction sentence shows how we take one number away from another. It has three parts: the starting number (minuend), the number we take away (subtrahend), and the difference (answer).
How to Write Subtraction Sentences
1️⃣ Start with the total number of items
2️⃣ Subtract the number of items taken away
3️⃣ Write the answer after the equals sign
