Time Section Review

Let's learn how to tell time and understand hours and minutes!

Understanding Time

Time helps us know when to wake up, eat, play, and sleep!
Clocks have two hands - the short hour hand and the long minute hand. The numbers 1-12 show the hours, and each small line between them shows minutes.

How to Read a Clock

1️⃣ Look at the hour hand first - it points to the hour

2️⃣ Then look at the minute hand - count by 5s for each big number

3️⃣ Put them together to say the time!

Let's Practice Together!

Can you show these times on a real clock at home?

Parent Tips 🌟

  • Make a daily schedule with your child and have them write the times for each activity
  • Play "What time is it?" games throughout the day using both digital and analog clocks
  • Use a timer during activities to help your child understand the passage of time (e.g., "You have 15 minutes to clean your room")
