When we add numbers up to millions, we're working with really big numbers! The secret is to break them down into smaller parts using place values. Remember our place value chart? Millions are just groups of thousands!

How to Add Large Numbers
1️⃣ Line up the numbers by place value (ones under ones, tens under tens, etc.)
2️⃣ Add from right to left, starting with the ones place
3️⃣ Carry over if the sum in any column is 10 or more
