Understanding Division
Division is about sharing equally!
When we divide, we're splitting a number into equal parts. For example, if you have 12 cookies and want to share them equally among 3 friends, each friend gets 4 cookies. That's 12 ÷ 3 = 4!
How Division Works
1️⃣ Identify the total amount (dividend)
2️⃣ Decide how many groups to divide it into (divisor)
3️⃣ Calculate how much goes in each group (quotient)

Parent Tips 🌟
- Use real objects like buttons or candies to demonstrate division as sharing equally.
- Connect to multiplication - remind your child that division is the opposite of multiplication (if 6 × 4 = 24, then 24 ÷ 4 = 6).
- Make it a game - challenge your child to solve division problems during everyday activities like setting the table or sharing snacks.
